Day 01


Arrive in Sri Lanka. You will be met by a representative of MAC Travels and transferred to the hotel in Negombo. Check-in and relax at the hotel.

Negombo is a laidback coastal city in Sri Lanka, located on the west coast of the island and at the mouth of the stunning Negombo Lagoon. Located in close proximity to the international airport, Negombo is the perfect place to stop over while on transit or on a very short stay. The coastal belt is adorned with hotels and restaurants serving some of the island’s best sea food. Once a trading port for the Portugese and the Dutch, this vibrant town is an ideal place for those who want quick access from the airport. Attractions in the city are the old Dutch fort gate built in 1672 (now a part of the prison), the Dutch Canal which was then a supply route to the Dutch administration, beautiful old churches and fishing villages.

Evening Quirky pub crawl tour Negombo

Quirky pub crawl tour generally 3 - 4 hours and are conducted in the evening-time allowing the body to battle the humidity levels and experience the wind-down time of island culture. The QPC tour offered by Mac Travels includes a visit to 5 bars with drinks and transport included. The drinks are Sri Lankan's local beer & cocktails such as Rodeo special. The bars are not your usual tourist bars, they are bars where the locals go to, and so it makes an interesting tour. Also it will help you to learn facts relating to the origins and history of each bar as you hop from one bar to the next. Transport & assistance will be provided by Mac Travels.

Day 02


After Breakfast leave for Kandy en route visiting Peradeniya Botanical Garden.

Royal Botanical Garden Peradeniya  

Peradeniya Botanical Garden is the largest botanical garden in the country and is located in Kandy near the longest river ‘Mahaweli’ in Sri Lanka. There are a collection of about 4000 plant species in the Royal Botanic Garden. Among them, the Giant Bamboo, Double Coconut and over 180 species of beautiful Orchids Perhaps, the biggest and most magnificent attraction is the ‘Ehetu’ tree, which spreads its branches and foliage outward to a staggering 2000 square meters!

Check in to Queens Hotel

One of Sri Lanka’s iconic historic hotels, Queen’s Hotel, situated in the heart of Kandy, faces the beautiful splendid surroundings alongside the Kandy Lake.With a history of over 160 years The Queen's Hotel is a 80 room British Colonial style luxury hotel. This former Governor's residence is one of the oldest hotels in Sri Lanka which is managed by the Ceylon Hotels Corporation.

Notable attractions of the hotel are the Queen of Hearts restaurant, Royal Ball Room and The Pub Royal, the latter being the only British Pub in the city that offers service with old colonial flavor. The Lord Mountbatten Lounge Bar was named after Lord Mountbatten of Burma who was a frequent guest at the Queen's when he was the Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia Theatre with the South East Asia Command based in Kandy. Drinks will be offered at a concessionary rate.

Day 03


After Breakfast proceed to Ella via Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Tea Plantation. 


Ella is a small village positioned high in the mountains, on the southern edge of Sri Lanka's Hill Country. Only 8 km from Bandarawela, this small village is situated in the middle of beautiful countryside, surrounded by vegetable plots, tea plantations and forests. The sole tourist attraction of the village is its breathtaking natural beauty. Some of the places you to visit in Ella are the Ella Gap, Ravana Ella Falls, Little Adam's Peak and Bambaragala Peak. An attractive scatter of little cottages & bungalows with their flower filled gardens adorn the little town making it one of the most picturesque towns in Sri Lanka. Over the last few years, Ella has become popular as a hotspot for adventure sports.

Day 04


After Breakfast leave for Tissamaharamaya. Later afternoon explore Yala National Park by a jeep.

Yala National Park

Yala combines a strict nature reserve with a national park. Divided into 5 blocks, the park has a protected area of nearly 130,000 hectares of land consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks and lagoons. Two blocks are currently opened to the public. Situated in Sri Lanka’s south-east hugging the panoramic Indian Ocean, Yala was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was designated a national park in 1938. Ironically, the park was initially used as a hunting ground for the elite under British rule. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles. The best time to visit Yala is between February and July when the water levels of the park are quite low, bringing animals into the open.

Experience camping at  Yala with a bonfire at night. 

Big game camps offers semi-permanent tented safari camps on the borders of the Yala national parks with a more rustic feel. Wine will be served on request.

Day 05


After Breakfast leave for Galle. Visit Galle Dutch fort


The seaside town of Galle is 116 Km away from Colombo by road or rail, down the south coast of Sri Lanka. Both routes are picturesque, following the coastline closely for much of the way. Today’s town has grown greatly and spreads into the surroundings but the Fort is the slow beating heart of Galle‘s history. The walled city has stood since the early sixteenth century, through the Colonial periods of the Portuguese, Dutch and British and in our present times is proclaimed as an Archaeological Reserve and has been identified as a living World Heritage Site.

Day 06


After Breakfast leave for Colomobo.

Colombo, the largest city in Sri Lanka, is the commercial capital and located on the west coast of the island. Due to its large harbour and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was well known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. It was made the capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815 and its status as capital was retained when the nation became independent in 1948. The city is a mish mash of colonial style buildings, commercial high rises, hotels and ofcourse the glorious ocean front known as ‘Galle Face Green.’ Some of the finest structures built during the colonial times are still preserved in a part of the city know as ‘The Fort.’ Among the top sites to visit whilst in Colombo are Independence Square, Galle Face Hotel (which is the country’s oldest hotel built in 1868) and the adjoining Galle Face Green, The Fort, the bustling streets of Pettah, Town Hall and the Parliament building in Kotte.  Nightlife in Colombo is nothing to complaint about as the city boasts ample popular nightclubs and bars, mostly frequented by Colombo’s social elite. Colombo is a great city to unwind in and is a stop worth taking for some rest and relaxation!

Day 07


You will be picked up after the Breakfast and will be transferred to the airport for departure. (You have to be at the Airport 03 hrs before the flight time in time to catch the flight which leaves at …… Hrs)
