Day 01

AIRPORT/NEGOMBO  (Approx 25 minutes drive – about 15 KM )

 Arrive in Sri Lanka. You will be met by a representative of MAC Travels and transferred to Negombo.   

OptionalVisit Negombo Fish Market

The Fish Market in Negombo...The fish market is held every day in the week excepting on Sundays. You will find a great collection of colorful fishes A vast expanse of sea shore in Negombo remains covered with small species of fishes. The fishermen use the sea shore for the drying purpose of their fishes. The fish market is held in the down town near the Old Dutch Fort Gate. It is at a distance from the main tourist area of Negombo. One can find fishes and sea creatures of all shapes and sizes displayed. It is an amazing sight to be sure. Large and small quantities of all these fishes are displayed everywhere.

Day 02

NEGOMBO / PINNAWALA / KANDY  (Approx. 03 hours drive – about 110 KM )

 AM   After Breakfast leave for Kandy

 En-route visit to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

App. 55 miles from Colombo, off the Colombo - Kandy road is Pinnawela, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 40 now, including baby elephants brought from various parts, as well as the babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programme. The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930-1000 hrs and 1330-1400 hrs and the bathing time from 1000-1030 hrs and 1400-1430 hrs when all the elephants are taken to the river close by. 

Thereafter proceed to Kandy & Check in to Kandy Hotel

Day 03

MADULKELLE  / BOGAWANTALAWA  (Approx. 03 hours drive – about 130 KM )

AM   after breakfast leave for Tea Trails

AM      Breakfast at the Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Optional: Nuwara Eliya

The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.

Day 05

BOGAWANTALAWA / BENTOTA   (Approx. 04 hours drive – about 170 KM )

 AM      After Breakfast leave for Bentota

 Check in to Yathra by Jetwing which is docked at Dedduwa
